TESSERA ON TOUR: KYLIE MINOGUE

October 21, 2014

Brompton Technology's Tessera LED Processing is being used on the well-received Kylie - Kiss Me Once tour.

Tessera M2 Processors are driving the 420 Revolution Display Blade HDs which give the show some of its distinctive geometric looks.

Lighting Designer Rob Sinclair and his team wanted to experiment with different methods of controlling the Blades to allow the use of both video based looks and a more lighting style effect. The M2s multiple inputs and Live control switching allowed the different sources to be neatly controlled from the lighting desk with seamless crossover between inputs. The graphical user interface of the system allowed pixel accurate placement of the Blades within the design.

Rob Sinclair commented:

"It was great to be able to use the Revolution Blades, which are a video product, as lights. The ceiling of neon was so appropriate for this show and worked better than I could have imagined.

The M2 Processor was an invaluable part of the control system. The layout and mapping of the blades was complex and the M2 made it into far less of a headache than I would have expected."
