Upstaging have recently completed a collaboration with Aboutshow and Brompton Technology on their new Saber LED strip fixture. The Saber boasts a double rank of 2x96 pixels per metre giving it a bright 4800Nit output. It is available in 1m, 0.5m and 0.25m versions.
Saber can be used diffused or un-diffused thanks to slide on round or square polycarbonate lenses and maintain a 10mm pitch when banked laterally, making them ideal as a video infill product as well as a strip or truss toner.
With Tessera processing as standard, Saber is ideal for creative applications. Controlled with 3G-SDI and DVI video the Brompton processor also allows control via DMX. Fixtures can be rotated in the user interface and content can be scaled and adjusted without the need for a separate scan converter thus minimising latency.
The fixtures have an IP65 rating and are easy to mount with both rear and side T-slot extrusion allowing various hanging hardware to be used.
Saber are on tour with Deadmau5, Neil Diamond and Maroon 5.
The Saber is available to rent and buy direct from Upstaging. Watch out for new products in the Saber range coming soon - www.upstaging.com/saber
